Makes 1 Latte
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 Tbsp cashew nuts
- 1 tsp BioBalance Certified Organic Japanese Matcha Powder
- 1-1 1/2 tsp liquid sweetener (e.g coconut nectar, brown rice syrup, maple syrup)
- Pinch sea salt
- 1 drop peppermint essential oil
Blend all ingredients for 1 minute on high until super creamy and smooth, then serve immediately!
You can also make this with cold water and serve over ice for an iced matcha latte.
This is also delicious with a drop of lavender essential oil instead of the mint for a smooth Matcha and Lavender Latte!
You can also omit the essential oil completely or a classic Matcha Latte, or add a dash of vanilla extract instead of the essential oils.
1 tsp of sweetener will give you a very modestly sweet latte, while 1 1/2 tsp gives a slightly sweeter drink. Try both and choose to your liking!
